FROM MY INBOX: I NEVER BELIEVED I WILL FACE THIS TYPE OF CHALLENGE IN LIFE

I never believed I will ever face this kind of challenge in my entire life. I only see people living with HIV/AIDS on tv and I feel bad for them.

My mum has been sick for a while now and the doctors just confirmed that she is HIV positive.. I felt like my entire life crumbled the moment I was told,a lot of thoughts ran through my head in that split second being the first child out of 6 children.

The annoying part of it now is that my dad infected her with the virus because of his promiscuous behaviors and now he doesn't want to own up. He's lieing that he's negative when even his physical appearance says it all. My major issue now is that,he has this gf outside that he always gives money and spends time with and I'm very sure he got it from her. I just got the girl's number and feel like calling her to a private place and beat her till she passes out then break the news to her that her lover (my dad) is HIV positive...this woman has suffered with him for the past 27 years and this is what she gets in return.

I'm in the hospital watching my mum lying helplessly on the bed,she can't even do anything without assistance. Pls I need advice on the next step to take cos right now,I hate my father with so much passion for what he has done to my mum. I know God will fight for her and justify her.

This is so heartbreaking. Have your dad tested positive yet?
If no, he should go get himself tested first because HIV is contacted through other ways apart from sex.

Women are always at the receiving end of all these dirty acts. If your dad knew his status, and has been secretly taking medications, then it is too bad.
There is no point going to fight his girlfriend he should be man enough to take responsibility for his actions
With prayers and the necessary anti retro viral drugs, your mum would be well.

  1. Hiv is not a death sentence. You should know that. Get everyone in your house tested and ask your dad to own up to that his gf too. What if he gave her. Go to a heart to heart centre and get counselling for your parents. There are people living with hiv and perfectly Happy
