Monday devotion: hunger for visitation

Our text today is taken from Luke19:1-6
1 Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
2 Now behold , there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector , and He was rich.
3 And He sought to see who Jesus was , but could not because of the crowd , for He was of short stature.
4 So He ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him , for He was going to pass that way.
5 And when Jesus came to the place , He looked up and saw him , and said to him ,  "Zacchaeus ,   make haste and come down , for today I must stay at your house."
6 So He made haste and came down , and received Him joyfully.

Beloved, no matter what you are passing through now in life right now, just remember that Jesus is still passing by.

The bible described zacchaeus as a chief among the publicians. Beloved publicians are sinners they are unbelievers and zacchaeus was their chief(leader).
The bible says he was rich but small in stature.

But zacchaeus knew he was not a fulfilled man without Jesus in his life so when he heard of Jesus passing through a certain road, he ran (left his unbeliever friends) and climbed a tree just so that he can see Jesus.

That speaks of hunger for visitation. Zacchaeus demonstrated his zeal to see the Lord he knew because of his stature he may not see HIM pass so he climbed a tree.

Brethren, your attitude towards God and the things of God is what provoke divine visitation. The bible recorded that when Jesus got to where he was
5 And when Jesus came to the place , He looked up and saw him , and said to him ,  "Zacchaeus ,   make haste and come down , for today I must stay at your house."

If God sees your hunger for HIM, He steps into your case, if He sees your heart for service, HE steps into that situation, that challenge but you must first make up your mind like zacchaeus to say no matter what seems to be a barrier, no matter what sin i am presently battling with, i am ready to see Jesus because HE is passing by right now.

Do not let evil friends misled you Zacchaeus left his friends to see Jesus. If you need to leave friends who constantly make you commit sin please do. Sin is a reproach it makes you lose your place in destiny but that will not be your portion in Jesus name. Amen

I see you stepping into your season of divine visitation in Jesus name.. Amen

Have a blessed week.
