LESSON OF THE WEEK: We get back in life what we give to others.

Inspirational ,motivational short story

There was a farmer who sold a pound of butter to the baker. One day the baker decided to weigh the butter to see if he was getting a pound and he found that he was not. This angered him and he took the farmer to court. The judge asked the farmer if he was using any measure. The farmer replied, amour Honor, I am primitive. I don’t have a proper measure, but I do have a scale.”

The judge asked, “Then how do you weigh the butter?” The farmer replied “Your Honor, long before the baker started buying butter from me, I have been buying a pound loaf of bread from him. Every day when the baker brings the bread, I put it on the scale and give him the same weight in butter. If anyone is to be blamed, it is the baker.”

What is the lesson from this story?

” We get back in life what we give to others.”

Whenever you take an action, ask yourself this question: Am I giving fair value for the wages or money I hope to make? Honesty and dishonesty become a habit. Some people practice dishonesty and can lie with a straight face. Others lie so much that they don’t even know what the truth is anymore. But who are they deceiving? Themselves.

How are you all doing diaries? I see you all.

  1. It's not in all cases.some time no matter how you treat them they will still stab you behind.

  2. As children of God we have to represent Christ well no matter the situation, who knows you can draw and win soul to Christ through you good deeds!

    And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. Luke 6:33

    But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

    That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
    Matthew 5:44-45

    Gloria dear, Have a Spirit-filled weekend and be blessed!

  3. I like the way you analysed the lesson from this story. Some people have sold their conscience to the devil so much that lying is now a normal lifestyle. May God help us all

    Its really helpful to make one reflect over his/her deed to others. What if am treated as I treat others? That's a personal question everyone should ask.
